Scratch

Scratching allows one to move forwards and backwards in a sound at any speed. This may also be done with a record player, by moving the needle back and forth.

How does Scratch work?
You may draw a breakpoint curve where you determine how the position in the sound is to vary over time. In gently sloping uphill curves, one moves slowly forward through the sound; steeper curves move faster. Downhill means that the sound is played backwards.

The control curve describes the development of the total sound, but the input sound that is drawn behind it need not be of the same duration.
