0.1
Darkness

0.2
A door opens, light enters the space, dimly revealing something resembling a domestic space

0.3
A tv switches on - first snowy/noise image, then channel zapping, resting a while on certain channels. The volume fluctuates according to intrest in the channel.

0.4
A lamp in another part of the room switches on in a "kitchen-like" space. Then several lamps, marking a path as if some-one was moving through the space to this area, come on.

0.5
A radio is switched on, again, channels are scanned through until a suitable channel is reached.

0.6
A kettle starts to boil, we see steam coming out of it. It automatically switches off, as toast pops up from a toaster. The sound of the kettle and toaster are amplified.

0.7
A hairdryer is turned on, and the volume of the radio is turned up, as if to hear above the hairdryer.

0.8
The hairdryer stops blowing, the radio is switch off, then the lamp/lamps.

0.9
The volume of the TV is turned up.

BLACKOUT/ CUT

You get the idea? That the space reacts as if mapping out the actions of two people? It's very easy to do manually with remote controlled equipment. Some of the stuff on the TV and radio could be Mobile Home material; interviews, Nature/Puzzle, Future/Airport games, or especially prepared for this scene, but some of it should be transmissions - live radio and tv.

This scene could be repeated with or without time passing between the repetitions, with one figure human present [the one in the "kitchen"], then the other [the one entering through the door], then both.
